Ketamine is an NMDA receptor antagonist that allows the brain to benefit from increased glutamate, helpful in depressed patients, those with suicidal ideation, and patients with PTSD. The IV intervention is not FDA approved at this time, thus will not be covered by insurance.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy allows patients to benefit fully from the neuroplasticity induced by this intervention. We have a specialized therapist available to meet with you ahead of the session for planning and therapeutic intervention during the IV Ketamine infusion as well.
